Core Capabilities
Seedance 2.5 supports three primary input modes: text prompt description, image reference upload, and motion transfer from source clips. Every generated video includes synchronized sound effects, ambience, and music rendered jointly with the visual content, so users get a single ready-to-post MP4 file without separate audio editing.
Users can generate multi-shot full sequences in one single pass, which keeps lighting, cast characteristics, and pacing consistent across all cuts without visible stitching artifacts. The model produces physics-aware motion with natural follow-through for fabric, realistic impact for actions, and handheld camera drift that matches real human operation.
When users upload face or product reference photos, the model preserves that exact identity, wardrobe, and product details across all generated shots, eliminating character drift across long sequences. The 2.5 version also supports region-level text edits, so users can modify only a specific part of a frame without re-rendering the entire full clip.
Maximum native single-pass generation length is 30 seconds, with a long-video beta that supports up to 180 seconds. The model adheres to complex prompt requirements 20% more reliably than the earlier Seedance 2.0 version. The platform currently supports up to 2 reference files per render, with the underlying model capable of processing 50 multimodal inputs total (30 images, 10 video clips, 10 audio tracks).
Supported Use Cases
Short-form Video Creators
Users can generate vertical 9 short clips with attached soundtrack in minutes for regular daily social media posting. The platform provides 9 pre-built templates including KBO Fan Cam, Retro DV Neighborhood, Talking Object, Absurd Sports Broadcast, and Earth Zoom Out to let users start generation quickly.
Ecommerce and DTC Marketers
Upload one single product photo, add a short scene description, and generate polished video ads with custom camera moves, adjusted lighting, and timed sound, formatted for all common ad placement aspect ratios.
Filmmakers and Agency Previz Teams
Render full multi-shot storyboard sequences that keep consistent cast members across every shot, to create high-quality moving pitch previz content instead of static reference images for film project proposals.
Anime and Game Artists
Upload character sheet references to generate stylized motion clips that preserve original line work and color palette, without breaking the original established art style.
