Each public listing displays the tool's pricing model alongside relevant competing alternatives, so users can compare options without visiting multiple separate sites. The platform filters out pure affiliate funnel sites, and only keeps a small set of highest quality tools that perform the same job, instead of adding every qualifying product to the directory.

Submission and Review Process

Free user submitted sites go through an editor review that completes within 48 hours. Paid submissions get priority review within 24 hours, but payment does not guarantee approval. Any paid submission that fails review is issued a full refund, to keep directory quality consistent for all visitors. All approved free listings carry nofollow outbound links. Dofollow links are issued either via one-time paid purchase, or when a listed site adds the official WebIndex badge and passes an automated backlink verification check. If the badge is removed, the link automatically reverts to nofollow.

Post-Listing Maintenance

The WebIndex team periodically re-verifies all live listings. If a site stops responding or changes its core function substantially, its public page stays on the directory but is marked as not recently verified, and removed from the site's internal search index, until an editor completes a full re-review. This process prevents dead or outdated recommendations from appearing in user search results.
