Nano Banana supports two primary creative workflows: text to original image generation, and existing photo editing using descriptive prompts. All generated content can be exported at 1K, 2K, or full 4K resolution, with custom aspect ratio selection to match project requirements.

Users can add up to three reference images per generation session to guide the output. This makes it easier to maintain consistent visual style for new scenes, product concept mockups, or portrait edits. Supported upload formats for reference images and source photos are PNG, JPG, and WebP, with each file limited to 2 MB maximum size.

Step by Step Workflow

1. Sign in to your account and open the Nano Banana studio

2. Enter a text prompt describing your desired subject, atmosphere, and visual style

3. Select your preferred generation model, output aspect ratio, and target resolution

4. Optionally upload up to three reference or source images to guide results

5. Preview the exact credit cost before generation starts, then run the job

6. Download your finished high-resolution image directly from the results page

Credit System Details

Generation jobs use a credit-based billing model. Nano Banana 2 generations cost 4 credits per image, while Pro generations cost 6 credits per image. Selecting 4K output doubles the required credit count for any generation job. The full exact cost for every job is displayed to the user before the generation process begins. All failed generations are automatically refunded the full credit amount to the user's account.

Usage Limitations

User generation history is stored within their personal account, but direct image links from the underlying generation provider are temporary. Users are advised to save all final generated images they want to keep locally to avoid data loss.
