Novastart’s core workspace provides unlimited, unbroken digital space where every app runs as a resizable, movable window on the canvas. Users can arrange any number of apps side by side without overlapping or hiding content behind tabs, and adjust their view at any time by zooming in to focus on a single app’s content, or zooming out to see every open app and project asset across the full expanse of the workspace. All window positions, open tabs, and in-app state are saved automatically, so users can leave a canvas and return later to find every element exactly where they left it.
The platform supports unlimited distinct saved workspaces, each isolated for separate use cases. Users can create dedicated canvases for personal projects such as wedding planning, vacation coordination, apartment searching, or household finances, alongside separate workspaces for professional team projects, with no hard limit on the number of canvases a single user can create.
Collaborative AI Agent Workflows
Novastart’s AI agents operate directly on the shared canvas, with visible cursors that let users watch every step of their task execution in real time, no hidden or opaque processing. When a user assigns a project to a lead agent, the lead automatically splits the full task into discrete subtasks and delegates each one to specialized helper agents, each of which works in its own dedicated app window on the canvas.
Users retain full control over agent workflows at every stage: they can pause all active agents mid-task, type in corrections or adjustments without restarting the entire job, or take direct control of any app window to make manual edits. Before a task is marked complete, the lead agent runs a separate verification check to confirm all results are accurate, rather than returning unvalidated output.
Real-Time Shared Team Collaboration
Instead of relying on screen sharing that restricts control to a single presenter, Novastart lets entire teams join the same shared workspace, with every team member assigned their own distinct, color-coded cursor. All users can interact with the canvas simultaneously: multiple people can move windows, edit app content, or point to specific elements on the canvas without needing to request control or ask other users to scroll to a specific section.
Users can access and run apps that are hosted on a teammate’s machine directly from their own view of the canvas, with full functionality as if the app was installed locally on their device. Shared workspaces retain their full persistent state even when all team members log out, so no progress, open apps, or layout changes are lost between sessions. Native in-workspace chat is included for teams to communicate without switching to a separate messaging app.
