Key Capabilities
All processing runs entirely on the user's local device in the browser. No JSON data is ever transmitted to external servers, and the full toolset works even after you disconnect from the internet once the page is loaded.
The built-in inline preview system automatically detects images, colors, audio, video, PDFs, JWTs, and timestamps inside JSON values, and renders them directly in the view without requiring the user to paste values into separate tools.
Virtual scrolling and background search support very large JSON and NDJSON files. There is no hard file size limit, and files over 5MB are automatically routed to the dedicated large JSON viewer for optimized performance. Performance for files 50MB and larger depends on the user's device hardware.
Usage Rules
JSON Toolbox is 100% free for personal and commercial use, released under the MIT license. There are no sign-up requirements, hidden fees, or usage limits. All modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge are supported.
