Bring one idea: Describe your core story character, conflict, or world in your own words, up to 1500 characters. This step does not generate any prose.
Shape the blueprint: FablePilot produces a complete editable story blueprint that includes the working title, character cast, setting details, story arc, and individual chapter goals. You can review and edit every field, adjust genre, tone, target audience, approximate total word count, and point of view before moving forward.
Approve the direction: No prose is created until you confirm the blueprint meets your requirements. The platform does not rush you past the planning stage.
Write chapter by chapter: Generate individual chapters one at a time, with full access to all previous chapters and continuity notes to keep your story consistent. You can edit, reorder, expand, or rewrite any section manually without extra cost.
Prepare for Kindle: Generate custom cover artwork, then export all finished files and guidance for direct upload to Amazon KDP.

Editable Story Blueprint
You can modify characters, chapter beats, point of view, tense, and total target word count at any point before you start prose generation. The blueprint remains fully editable until you approve it to proceed to writing.

You can select any existing text to request AI rewrites or expansions. Manual editing, reordering, and saving of your work does not use any credits.

The final export package includes all files you need for self-publishing on Amazon. All manual edits, rearrangements, and saves of your work cost 0 credits. Credits are only used for successful AI operations:

All export downloads use 0 credits
A 5000-word short book with one AI-generated cover uses an estimated total of 140 credits, before optional AI rewrites. Paid access is required to unlock the full Kindle upload kit.

Important Limitations
FablePilot does not guarantee automatic Amazon KDP acceptance of exported files. You are instructed to open the exported EPUB in the official Amazon Kindle Previewer tool and resolve any reported warnings before you submit your book for publishing. Kindle eBooks use reflowable text, so final visible page count will change based on reader device, font size, and user settings.
